Anthony Mackie has officially signed a deal to return as Sam Wilson/Captain America in Captain America 4. Anticipation is running rampant as production is scheduled to get underway sometime in 2022, and speculation has began to soar as to who the villain(s) could be, and what the story could entail.

Shortly after the season finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier aired on Friday, news broke that Marvel Studios was developing Captain America 4. TWATWS showrunner Malcolm Spellman, who was the lead writer and executive produced the second MCU installment on Disney+, will co-write the script.
