Surprisingly, we have a trailer for The Walking Dead season 11 B. I thought AMC was going to wait to release this until Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 A was almost over. It was funny that AMC released this before episode 8 was out for the public on TV. The only way to avoid the episode 8 spoilers was to watch it on AMC +, like I did. We left off on the stupid episode 8 cliffhanger when Leah shot the rocket fireworks to Negan, Maggie, and Daryl. We know that season 11 is going to return on February 20, 2022. Season 11 B will run until March 10th (March 3rd on AMC +). This means that we are going to have to wait 5 months to see the epic conclusion of The Reapers (or not). If have already watched the trailer, you see that Leah and Carver survives and based on their outfits, they survive longer than episode 9. You also see major scenes from The Commonwealth, and a cute reunion with Judith and Daryl at Alexandra.
As I said above, episode 8 left off with Leah shooting the fireworks rocket at Negan, Maggie, Elijah, and Daryl. The trailer shows everyone that was at the Meridian in different scenes during season 11 B, except Elijah. I expect him to die in episode 9 but I don’t really want to see it. He is the only character left from Maggie’s group when she left during season 9. If everyone dies from that group, what was the point of introducing them in the first place. They showed way too much from The Reapers arc in this trailer. I know you have to show Daryl at The Commonwealth because he is your main character in the show, but you did not have to show anyone else. AMC spoiled that Maggie, Negan, and Gabriel survived the Meridian. I was worried about Gabriel’s status by the end of the arc but it is confirmed that he survives. The only question is, if they got the food and supplies from The Meridian. You can also ask what happened to Alden, since we haven’t seen him since episode 3. He is gone from the trailer but I already predicted that he will be dead when they check on him at the church. I predict that his death will happen close to the end of the episode. You also see Leah and Carver in the trailer. This means that The Reaper arc isn’t over after episode 9. I can bet my life that Carver will die in this chunk of episodes but I do not know what to do with Leah. I was on the Leah will die in the first 8 episodes, but obviously, she did not. It might be a Dwight situation where Leah gets banished from Daryl because I don’t think he will have the heart to kill her, even though she betrayed him in episode 8. It gets complicated with Daryl and Leah because I don’t see her surviving to the end because of the Daryl and Carol spinoff after this show is over. She is going to have to die before the show is over…
I wanted to highlight Alexandra, even though that it is not too important in these next 8 episodes. Daryl and Judith reunite, whenever Daryl comes back from The Meridian. Daryl is the only “family” that Judith has, since Rick and Michonne left and Carl died. They have a father, daughter relationship and their relationship is so pure and wholesome. I just wanted to put this in here because it is a cute moment but I want to know if Daryl is going to find out about Michonne from Virgil. I assume he is going to tell Daryl but I think they are going to wait till the final 8 episodes to set up Daryl and Carol leaving. My prediction is they leave to do their spinoff show to find clues about Rick and Michonne. This is obviously going to break Judith’s heart because he is leaving, but if it is to save her Mom and Dad, Judith will understand. The “storm troopers” are going to arrive at Alexandra, I assume at the end of episode 9 or the beginning of 10, since Eugene told The Commonwealth where home was. This is why you see Daryl, Carol, and Rosita with Mercer and them inside of The Commonwealth’s walls. It is going to be interesting where AMC is going to go with this storyline since Carol is dead at this point in the comic book and Daryl is never in it to begin with. An also side note about Alexandra, you see it recovered from the storm in episode 8. Episode 9 is going to be the conclusion of the storm and the other cliffhanger of Gracie and Judith trapped inside the basement. I wanted to highlight this too just to have in the back of your mind that Rosita might have been bit when she was killing all those zombies in episode 8. It wouldn’t make sense cause you see her with Mercer in The Commonwealth, but work with me. It is probably not going to happen but it is just another thing to think about.
The most important storyline of the season and debatably of the series, is The Commonwealth. This holds the key to the future of the series. I could go on and on about The Commonwealth but I’ll just do what I see in this trailer. You see Daryl, Carol, and Rosita meeting with Mercer and then inside of The Commonwealth. They are all snooping around and seeing what they can find out about this place. Although this is going to be the biggest community that the survivors have ever seen, Eugene is already in hot water. Eugene is making everyone mad inside the walls of The Commonwealth and has to makeup for his mistake on punching Pamela Milton’s son, Sebastian. This is why everyone is now in The Commonwealth and how they found the survivors at Alexandra. Pamela Milton is the leader of The Commonwealth and this is the first time we see her this season. She looks exactly like her comic book counterpart. I am excited what she brings for the show and what secrets are really in The Commonwealth. It is for sure not going to stay a cheery community for long. Something is wrong with this place. Maybe the first domino to fall in that theory is whenever Eugene realizes that the Stephanie that him, Princess, and Ezekiel is with, is not really her. The real Stephanie is a receptionist that works for Pamela, the one that is shown with Yumiko, when she wants to talk to Pamela. Eugene kind of got alerted it wasn’t the real Stephanie when she ordered ice cream, but it wasn’t enough to set off Eugene. I want to see that reaction when Eugene realizes that it isn’t the right girl, since he is trying to get with her. I also do want to see a Rosita and Eugene reunion, since we haven’t seen in a scene together in a whole season and a half now. I am very excited for The Walking Dead season 11 to return in February,. I wish I didn’t have to wait five months for episode 9, but at least we have a release date to look forward to.
