In my opinion, expect for episode 10, season 11B has been an absolute hit and must see TV. I didn’t think I would have said that about this show anymore but here we are… Episode 13 is called “Warlords”. I think that this episode is called that because of the characters that Aaron and Gabriel run into. Episode 13’s plot synopsis is Maggie, Lydia, and Elijah help a stranger from another community called Riverbend. They run into Aaron, who tells them about a mission he embarked on with Gabriel as emissaries for the Commonwealth. I’m going to go into fuller detail in the next two paragraphs but episode 13 definitely has some seeds for a Walking Dead videogame character to join the show and a Lance vs. Pamela civil war brewing. This episode is geared up for another strong showing and making this third of a season even better than it already is.
The New Frontier is Here?
If you aren’t familiar with the Telltale Walking Dead videogames, I think we are going to be introduced to one of their characters. Sadly it isn’t Clementine but if the New Frontier is going to the show, she can’t be far behind. Aaron and Gabriel set out on a mission to help these people from another community and I think one of them could be Ava. Ava is a character from the videogames from season 3. She is an important character from the community, the New Frontier. This is a community from the games that includes characters like Clementine, Javi, David, and Ava. If you look at the casting for this character (although we do not know her name yet), it looks identical to Ava. If you want more details, I wrote about this theory on The Daily Goat website. From the synopsis, you know that Gabriel will take these characters to the Commonwealth so perhaps more videogame characters are in the community. I am not going to get my expectations high, just in case that she isn’t Ava or connected at all through the Telltale videogames, but if this is the case the future is bright for season 11 and can connect the current story with the beloved characters from the highly successful games.
Pamela vs. Lance
It is only a matter of time before Pamela and Lance fight for power within the Commonwealth and I think that this is the building block of the power struggle. Pamela is currently the leader of the Commonwealth but Lance isn’t far behind. Although Pamela makes all the important decisions for the community. Lance makes deals with other communities and knows the real truth on how the Commonwealth runs from the inside. He even wanted to make the deal work with the three communities, Alexandra, Hilltop, and Oceanside because he wants to be the one that runs them. I think that Lance is either the one that sends the character from Riverbend or is involved with the deaths of the Commonwealth soldiers that you see inside the trailer. You hear that Lance can’t send out additional troops to check out a situation without alerting Pamela, so I think he takes matters into his own hand. The trailer makes him seem like he’s turning to the “dark side” and only is in it for himself. Like I have said since we have gotten introduced to Lance, he is one of the most important “new” characters inside the Commonwealth. I think he has more answers to our questions than meet the eye. He could hold the keys on how the current season 11 storyline connects with the CRM or the many question marks involving Rick Grimes.
