Can you believe that it is episode 8 of season 11 already? That means The Walking Dead will be off AMC for a little bit. Just in case you forgot, AMC is splitting up season 11 into 3 parts. I predict season 11 episode 9 will premiere December 12th, the earliest, because World Beyond is releasing its final season on October 3rd and Fear The Walking Dead is releasing its first half of season 7 on October 17th. They both will be over on December 5th, so the Sunday after will be December 12th. This also means that my Walking Dead articles will be less frequent because I will not have an episode to preview and review every week. I am going to try to highlight the important parts from World Beyond since it is connected through the CRM and Anne is back, which is important to Rick Grimes. I will also highlight Fear The Walking Dead because I want to see if there is any chance Morgan can cross over into the Rick Grimes movies in the future. Enough about the other shows, you clicked on this article for a review of The Walking Dead season 11 episode 8, “For Blood”… It is going to be a bloodbath between The Reapers and Alexandra and the last episode containing The Reapers.
I have decided to only preview the trailer in a small piece and then do a death predictions at the end because the trailer didn’t show much of anything and since this is a “season 11A finale”, characters are going to die. The trailer just showed Maggie, Negan, and company leading the horde into the Meridian and the Reapers all confused why the walkers are doing that, just like how the group was confused in season 9, before they met the Whisperers. The trailer did show Maggie and Gabriel inside of the Meridian, so we know they successfully made it. However, I do believe that this is the last episode involving The Reapers since the next 16 is going to be about The Commonwealth and the CRM. Daryl will play an important part in the story so it will make no sense if he is still apart of the Reapers when Georgie shows up to Alexandra. It will also not make sense for Maggie since her and Georgie already know each other and I want to see that interaction. The trailer also showed walkers getting into Alexandra. Rosita is playing Rick Grimes (when they made it in season 6) and is going to kill them all. At the end of the trailer AMC is trying to make you believe that Michonne is at the door, but it is not… I wrote another article about this but I’ll say it again that the person at the door is either Rosita or Lydia.
The moment you have been waiting for. Here are my episode 8 death predictions…
Alden
We haven’t seen Alden since episode 3. Maggie and Negan locked him in that church. The Reapers know where that church is. I have three possibilities of Alden’s death can be. The first is Alden is killed by The Reapers in the church and he is brought back to the Meridian for Maggie to see. The second is Maggie or Negan will be in a life or death situation and Alden will return and save the day but will die in battle or shortly after because he is too weak to back to Alexandra. The third is cheating a little bit because it won’t be episode 8, but on the way back to Alexandra in episode 9, Maggie and Negan will discover Alden as a walker because he died from bleeding out from episode 3 or killed by the Reapers during their absence.
Carver
Carver is one of the main Reapers during season 11 and is getting a lot of screen time. Usually when a minor character gets a lot of screen time, they usually die. I think Carver is going to die from Daryl because Carver knows too much about him, if Pope was telling the truth about Frost’s confession. Daryl should be the one to put him down because of their conflict the last few episodes.
Pope
This is a slam-dunk, guaranteed death in episode 8. Pope is the leader of The Reapers and will die by the hands of Maggie, Negan, or Daryl. I believe that this is going to be the last episode containing Reapers storylines. It would make no sense to keep the leader alive if this is the last episode for The Reapers. I do want to see a Maggie versus Pope face off in this episode because they knew each other from when Maggie was facing this group from before. Negan might be the one to kill Pope to save Maggie and to make her finally “trust” him. Daryl might be the one to complete the storyline of Daryl never really being apart of The Reapers and to save his friends. This one might get hairy because Leah will realize that Daryl for years.
Leah
I have been beating this drum since she returned in season 11 so I can’t get off the train now. If Leah were to die she will die from Pope, Daryl, or in the war in general. Pope will kill her after Pope tells her about who Daryl really is and blame her for him being in the group. You have seen how ruthless Pope is to other Reaper members, with burning that guys face for nothing. Daryl might be the one who kills her after she is hurt in battle. The Daryl and Leah storyline will have to come to an end at some point because you can’t have a love interest storyline with Carol and Connie waiting in the background of Alexandra. Carol and Daryl are going to have to makeup before the spinoff show and I want to see how happy Daryl is when he finally sees Connie. Keeping Leah alive after episode 8 will make the storylines confusing going forward.
