We are finally here! The Walking Dead Season 11: Part 2 is almost upon us… It will return this Sunday, February 13th on AMC + (or February 20th on AMC, on tv). So you know what that means, The Walking Dead articles will be in full affect in the next eight weeks. I have high expectations with this eight chunk of episodes, setting up the group going to The Commonwealth and laying down the ground work of ending the show. Episode 9’s synopsis for the episode is “Hellfire rains down on those at Meridian as every fight with the Reapers proves to be a brutal battle. At home in Alexandria, the violent rainstorm rages on as walkers continue to pour in, threatening everyone’s safety.” This is telling me that there will be two main storylines for this episode. It will be wrapping up The Reapers storyline from the first eight episodes and the aftermath of the storm from episode 8. I believe that “No Other Way” is going to get its episode title by Maggie and Daryl fighting on what to do with The Reapers. Daryl is going to believe that they should spare some of them but Maggie will say that there is “no other way” but just to kill them all. Episode 9 should be a great season 11 B premier and I can’t wait for Sunday!
The Reapers Aftermath
Episode 9 will pick up right up where episode 8 ended with Leah shooting the fireworks trap at Daryl, Negan, and Elijah. If you saw the part 2 trailer, you can see that they all survive this trap and all arrive at Alexandra safe, after this episode. There will be no major deaths for the survivors because of The Reapers. I believe that all The Reapers will die in episode 9, except one. I do think that the second in command, Carver will die from the hands of Maggie. However, we are going to get a pretty grewsome fight scene with Negan and Carver during the episode inside a hallway. Maggie will shoot Carver when Daryl and Leah are negotiating a deal for The Reapers to go free. I think that Leah will be the only one to survive in episode 9. I also believe that Daryl is going to spare her because of his past feelings towards Leah in season 10. I think this is going to be a “Dwight situation” where Daryl told Dwight to leave in a truck after All Out War in season 8. This will set up a Leah and Daryl reunion either at the series finale of the show when Carol and Daryl leave, since they are going to do their own spinoff show on AMC after The Walking Dead is over or she will return early on in the spinoff, if AMC wants to save them leaving for episode 1 of the other show. Leah’s storyline will not be over in episode 9, it will just be beginning. On the flip side, we can’t forget about Gabriel and the other “God preacher” Reaper. I wanted to add this in because I think Gabriel will kill him and as we know, Gabriel will also survive episode 9. However, I said in my death predictions article that Alden is going to die. I’m not sure if they will save a cliffhanger of them opening the church for the last scene of episode 9 and then it fades to black or they will save that for episode 10. My bets will be on showing the church no matter what in episode 10, not 9.
“The Storm” Ends
The other main storyline is Aaron, Rosita, Lydia, and others surviving the storm that Alexandra is currently in. I think this is going to be similar to “No Way Out” in season 6 where a ton of walkers came into Alexandra but the survivors prevailed. I think that this will happen again in episode 8 where Rosita and Lydia will clear out all the walkers from the rain. I think Aaron is going to play an important part in this episode because of where his daughter and Judith is. Gracie and Judith are stuck downstairs and there is severe flooding on the stairs. In the trailer you see Aaron saving the day by breaking the window downstairs to get to them. I think that either Aaron will hear them downstairs and try to save them or notice that Gracie and Judith have been gone for a long time and find them. However, I do believe that there might be a slight chance of Gracie dying in episode 9. I think that Gracie will be dead before Aaron climbs through the window to further his character down the road. As a result, Aaron will go crazy in the second part of season 11. Aaron is one of those characters that shot up my list as a favorite character of mine, ever since season 9. Gracie is either going to get bit by a walker in the water or just not be able to make it from the flood. I do not see everyone that is in the tough situations on both storylines surviving, so I am really just taking a shot in the dark of someone dying because although Gracie is an important character for the legacy and future of The Walking Dead, but she is minor at this time.
