Welcome to Pombo & Peter's Picks presented by The Daily Goat! If you like sports and gambling this is the podcast for you! To start off the episode, we update you on our recent fantasy football draft (0:24). Then, we give you an update on the Patriots (3:25), Broncos (10:32), Jaguars (12:51), Bears, 49ers, and Saints (18:00) QB battles and if any teams have named the starter for week one yet. Then we get into the Sony Michel trade from the Patriots to the Rams (20:07) and how this affects both teams going forward. We also get into our seventh week previewing the NFL divisions. This week we have the NFC East: Cowboys (23:39), Washington (28:52), Giants (33:36), and Eagles (38:09). We preview each team, go over their offseason acquisitions and losses, and give you our over/under pick on the Draft Kings win total for that team. Before the end of the football segment, we even debate the top 25 team rankings for college football (45:58). Then, with the news of the Celtics retiring Kevin Garnett’s number, we debate if the Celtics have retired too many numbers throughout their history (48:51). To end the show, we debate various MLB topics (51:58) like the struggles of Red Sox’s Matt Barnes, Yadier Molina’s retirement in 2022, and Miguel Cabrera’s 500th homerun!
