It is without question that All Elite Wrestling is pulling out all the stops when it comes to signing big talent. We recently had the opportunity to witness CM Punk making his In-Ring return and picking up a win against Darby Allin in a instant Classic.
We also got to see former NXT Champion Adam Cole join his former Bullet Club Members, and then be interrupted by former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) to join the fight against The Elite with Jurassic Express. We also go to see Ruby Soho make a big splash in the Casino Battle Royal.
AEW’s All Out card kept the fans glued to their seat and glued to their television. Each match had their own reason to grab the audience and just truly delivered on everything. It’s safe to say that they went “All Out”. Now the question is what is next for AEW?
The AEW roster got bigger, as they added Adam Cole, who in NXT was a big asset for the Tuesday night brand. Cole made his Debut for NXT at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2017, with Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish as the Undisputed Era. Cole would become the first NXT North American Champion, he would also go on to win the NXT championship and be the longest reigning champion for the brand. Cole has been the NXT champion for 406 days. Cole's final match with WWE would be on NXT TakeOver 36 as he would compete in two out of three falls match against former Undisputed Era Member Kyle O’Reilly. Before going to the WWE he had traveled all over the world with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega with New Japan or with Ring of Honor. The relationship between those four men date back a long long time. It has been shown and detailed on The Young Bucks YouTube Channel, “Being the Elite.” Last time, Adam Cole was on “Being the Elite” his Character was “murdered”. Following the Main Event on Sunday it looks like Adam Cole, The Young Bucks and Still AEW Champion Kenny Omega are back on the same page…but how long will that last?
Daniel Bryan is a decorated veteran in professional wrestling and sports entertainment. He has created countless memories that many fans will never forget, defied the odds to come back to wrestle in the main event of WrestleMania, and has made one word, three letters speak volume.
Bryan made his final appearance for WWE on Smackdown on April 30 in a Career vs Title Match against Roman Reigns. In the end, Reigns would walk out the victor and would leave fans to question what was next for Daniel Bryan?
After months of anticipation he would make his debut in AEW as he came face to face with the World Champion Kenny Omega. This would then lead into a brawl with Bryan, Jurassic Express and Christian Cage standing tall in the ring. Will we be seeing Bryan vs Omega in the near future?
The AEW women’s roster added another veteran to the brand, as Ruby Soho made her debut and won the Casino Battle Royal to earn herself an opportunity at Doctor Britt Baker’s Women’s Championship. Soho (Ruby Riott) was released by the WWE back in June. The 11 year veteran will be making her first appearance on Dynamite this Wednesday to address her victory at All Out.
It’s been 7 years, 7 months and 11 days since the last time CM Punk competed in a wrestling ring of any kind, and on Sunday he showed that he still had it.
CM Punk is something special in the wrestling world and the fans let him know every time he steps in the ring. For someone that said they would never get back in a wrestling ring, he showed us that we have been longing for his return for quite some time.
Punk vs Allin was a back and forth match, and the crowd in Chicago loved every second of it. The match had so many memorable moments but in the end it was CM Punk hitting the GTS and getting the 1, ,2, 3 for his first win in AEW.
At the end of that match we were able to see the greatest sign of respect as they shook hands in the ring. What a win, what a match!
AEW is in great hands, as their roster is loaded with so much new and exciting talent. AEW is on the rise, and it’s time to embrace it.
