High School:
Tamorrion Terry wasn’t a highly touted high school recruit coming out of Georgia. He was ranked according to 24/7 sports composite, as a 3 star recruit as the 350th best player in the country, 52nd WR overall in the country and the 34th ranked player in the state of Georgia. Terry at Turner County High School, caught a total of 91 passes for 2,169 yards for a whopping 23.8 yards per reception and 30 touchdowns. Terry although wasn’t rated highly, did receive a handful of power 5 offers later in his high school tenure including, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and Ole Miss. Terry would choose to go to Florida State to play for the Seminoles.
Redshirt Freshman:
Terry redshirted his true freshman season with the Noles but it was his redshirt freshman season where he broke out onto the scene. Terry caught 35 passes for 744 receiving yards for 8 touchdowns. Terry was tied for receiving yards on the team with senior Nyqwan Murray and led the team in touchdown receptions. Terry’s 744 receiving yards was the most ever for a freshman in Florida State history. Terry was also named the team’s offensive MVP and an honorable mention on the all-ACC team.
Redshirt Sophomore:
Terry was poised to really put his name on the map in his redshirt sophomore season. Well he did just that. Terry was the unquestioned alpha on this Florida State team. He led the team in all three receiving categories, receptions (60), receiving yards (1,188), and receiving touchdowns (9). Terry earned second team All-ACC honors in this season.
Redshirt Junior
Terry decided to return to school for his redshirt junior year after Mike Norvell was announced as the team’s new head coach. Terry was poised to flourish not only because of Norvell implementing a competent offense from his Memphis days but Terry also had added 16 pounds of muscle in the offseason that put his weight at around 220 pounds. Terry did not live up to expectations after dealing with a nagging knee injury that caused him to have surgery and after appearing in one more game after the surgery, Terry ultimately made the decision to opt out for the rest of the season. Terry finished with 23 receptions, 289 receiving yards, and 1 touchdown catch in what was a disappointing final season with the Seminoles.
Terry finishes his Florida State career with 118 receptions, 2221 yards, and 18 touchdown receptions in 30 career games.
Metrics:
Terry doesn’t check every analytical box for a wide receiver prospect, but he has a few that are checked off that are promising. Although Terry was an older player when he first started getting playing time, he had a 30% + dominator rating his redshirt freshman year when he was 20 along with a 35%+ dominator rating as a redshirt sophomore when he was 21. Having a college dominator rating over 30% is extraordinary for a WR so with Terry having two of those under his belt, is a nice box to check off. Although his pro day hasn't happened yet, I expect him to test extremely well considering how fast he looks on film. He was clocked in at an astronomical 23.4 MPH according to RAAnalytics.

VERDICT:
Tamorrion Terry is a very intriguing wide receiver prospect. His size combined with his long speed and big play ability, I think he can be one of those guys that we could be asking ourselves “how did this guy fall this far in the draft.” He’s just not the most technically sound player and has some drop issues but his athleticism and size make his upside very high. Packers WR Marquez Valdes Scantling is a very similar player to Terry with the fact that they both are deep threats with long speed with similar size. Terry’s ceiling is super high if a team can unlock his full potential. Terry projects to be a fourth rounder according to NFL Mock Draft Database. A lot of teams can definitely benefit from a guy with his size with that type of explosive play ability and the ability to stretch the field.
