The world was thrown into a spiral this past Saturday night at San Diego Comic Con when it was announced that Robert Downey Jr. will be starring as Doctor Dom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Doomsday will air in May of 2026, while the long awaited Secret Wars film will premier in May of the following year. This was rumored for the week leading up to SDCC, and while I was a little uneasy about it, I’m fine with it… IF, Downey Jr. isn’t Doom for years to come.

Another Marvel Studios film has come and gone, and it was really well done. Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania is my favorite entry in the Ant-Man trilogy; take away Kang the Conqueror and it’s still my favorite. The movie did at times, many times actually, feel like Star Wars, and comedy was definitely shoehorned into the film quite poorly which is surprising since Paul Rudd wasn’t really on his A-game, in my opinion.

After weeks of rumors and speculations amongst fans, DEADLINE has confirmed that Harrison Ford will in fact be playing General Ross in Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts. It’s finally come! Marvel Studios’ first Special Presentation in Werewolf By Night is finally here, and it’s one of my favorite entires in the MCU to date. From start to finish I was enthralled by what I was watching, and a 52-minute-long runtime was something that I was a little weary about I have to admit.

Now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has come and gone, let’s get to know the latest surprise character to join the MCU. The mid-credits scene for Multiverse of Madness revealed a portal appearing to Doctor Strange in the streets of Manhattan, with a mysterious character telling Strange that she needs his help in stopping an incursion that he started. This character was none other than Clea, played by Charlize Theron, and her and Strange have quite the relationship in the comics, as they just to happen to be husband and wife.

When the season finale of Loki aired this past summer, the climax made it quite obvious that a second season could be coming, and the “end credits scene” confirmed that the hit series had been renewed. The fallout to Sylvie arrogantly killing He Who Remains quickly began to come crashing in as the multiverse unraveled, as Loki was sent back in a portal to the TVA where Mobius doesn’t seem to remember Loki, and a Kang (He Who Remains) variant is seemingly running the TVA. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige just recently confirmed that the death of He Who Remains caused the multiverse troubles in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Ever since Avengers: Endgame, fans of the MCU have been wondering when we might see another Avengers film. While I don’t believe we’ll ever get an actual Avengers movie ever again, I do believe that we could get the Young Avengers. Getting massive team-up movies amongst most, or all, of the heroes of the MCU will definitely happen as well moving forward.

Now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is out, I for one am wondering when we could get a team-up movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe again. Ever since Avengers: Endgame, fans have been wondering when we could get another Avengers film, and while I don’t believe we’ll ever get a direct Avengers movie again, we are close to getting a Young Avengers movie, and I think we could get movies going forward where most, if not all, of the MCU heroes come together. Multiverse of Madness’ mid-credits scene did set the stage for Strange and Clea to try to stop an incursion, and seeing how the multiverse is a huge part of the MCU moving forward, this could be where we get a “Secret Wars” setup.

A few months ago Marvel started a new story highlighting one of the company’s most complex characters: Kang the Conquerer. The villain is one of the most popular villains from Marvel, and thanks to Jonathan Majors’ portrayal of the character in Loki, he’s been generating a lot more buzz and popularity of late. Majors will reprise his roll as the time traveling villain in 2023’s Ant-Man & The Wasp Quantumania, but until then, myself and other fans want more of him!
