Another Marvel Studios film has come and gone, and it was really well done. Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania is my favorite entry in the Ant-Man trilogy; take away Kang the Conqueror and it’s still my favorite. The movie did at times, many times actually, feel like Star Wars, and comedy was definitely shoehorned into the film quite poorly which is surprising since Paul Rudd wasn’t really on his A-game, in my opinion.

When the season finale of Loki aired this past summer, the climax made it quite obvious that a second season could be coming, and the “end credits scene” confirmed that the hit series had been renewed. The fallout to Sylvie arrogantly killing He Who Remains quickly began to come crashing in as the multiverse unraveled, as Loki was sent back in a portal to the TVA where Mobius doesn’t seem to remember Loki, and a Kang (He Who Remains) variant is seemingly running the TVA. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige just recently confirmed that the death of He Who Remains caused the multiverse troubles in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Ever since Avengers: Endgame, fans of the MCU have been wondering when we might see another Avengers film. Episode 5 of Loki was outstanding. Might even be my favorite episode thus far. The series keeps getting better and better, and while a majority of the miniseries has been about strong dialogue and not a whole lot of action, episode 5 changed the narrative. I’ve been saying since the pilot episode that what Marvel has done with these Disney+ MCU shows has been really interesting.

Episode two of Loki has come and gone, but will never be forgotten. Since Avengers: Endgame came out way back in 2019, fans of the MCU have been waiting for the next great thing. Spider-Man: Far From Home, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier were all great, but none of them were nearly as great as episode two titled, “The Variant”.
