Like I did with the initial season 11C death predictions, I will go through every major character that is still alive and predict their fate for the series finale of The Walking Dead! As I said before, any character that doesn’t serve a future purpose with their own spinoff show or joining a current spinoff show, if that is Fear The Walking Dead, Daryl’s show, or Dead City, kill them off. Why save them for no reason? Currently the only major people that died in season 11 are Alden, Leah, and the villains from the season 11 storyline from the Reapers and Sabastian & Lance from The Commonwealth. However, there will be a few characters still left alive on the main show to keep it not as dark for the final few scenes of the finale, but I want at least one death that makes the viewer go “wow” and think back of an iconic death like Glenn, Abraham, Shane, Hershel, Beth, or Carl. With all that being said, here are my series finale death predictions…
Daryl Dixon
He is the safest as safe can be. He will survive to go onto his spinoff show in Paris
Dog
Where is Dog? We haven’t seen him in forever and seems like he is completely written off or dead. I know, I know, if Dog dies, we riot, but it is a highly unlikely possibility he joins Daryl in his spinoff show. This might be the best time to kill Dog, unless he is already off the show, and we just don’t know it yet.
Carol Peletier
Except Daryl, Carol is the only season 1 character that is left in the show. This was my dark horse death that I predicted in the beginning of season 11 C. I don’t think she will die and leave her have the possibility of joining Daryl’s spinoff show in the future, but I still find it odd that she didn’t want to go to Europe with Norman Reedus and was written out of the show completely. If she did die, this would be the most shocking death in the show since Glenn and Abraham in season 7, kill the rest of the cast’s morale, and absolutely kill Daryl. This could be the breaking point of why Daryl leaves to Europe in the first place for his spinoff show. However, I am not saying she will die or have a good chance to, but be on the lookout for her death and credit me if she does.
Maggie Greene
She is the most safest character right behind Daryl. She will survive to go onto her spinoff show “Dead City” with Negan
Negan
Like Maggie, he is the most safest character right behind Daryl. He will survive to go onto his spinoff show “Dead City” with Maggie
Rosita Espinosa
All signs point to her death in the episode 24 promo trailer and the scenes that were not used yet throughout the season in the season 11 C Comic-Con trailer. We do know that she got Coco back, but does she sacrifice herself for her daughter? She gets a shoulder injury in episode 24 and needs to jump to a building to survive. We even see Gabriel and Eugene cheer her on while doing so in the promo trailer. She might die in front of the people that loves her the most. I have her taking the most shocking death in the finale since everything is jumping out through the trailers and various news that we got on Rosita in the past couple of days. It is one of the closest original characters from the show that we will see die, with her joining the show in the back half of season 4.
Eugene Porter
Unless AMC is faking us all out with all signs pointing to Rosita’s death, Eugene might be the one to take her death. I know for sure the most shocking death in the finale with either be Rosita, Eugene, or Gabriel, with Rosita being the most logical choice. If he does survive, be on the lookout for Max to die, and him helping lead the new Commonwealth
Father Gabriel
Like I said with Eugene, unless AMC is faking us all out with all signs pointing to Rosita’s death, Gabriel might be the one to take her death. However, based on the episode 24 promo trailer, we know that a Commonwealth soldier that is on our side turns on him or a Pamela soldier holds a gun to his head. It could be that AMC might kill off both of Coco’s parents, but I know for sure, the most shocking death in the finale with either be Rosita, Eugene, or Gabriel, with Rosita being the most logical choice.
Aaron
Based on the episode 24 promo trailer we know that Aaron gets to the Commonwealth successfully but will he make it in time to save Lydia? He is fighting off the horde with some Commonwealth soldiers, but I feel like he is completely safe in the finale
Ezekiel
He is almost as safe as the top three characters of The Walking Dead. I think this is the case because he is going be the ones leading the charge of speaking to the group after the final fight is over, based on the first part of the episode 24 promo trailer
Jerry
I am calling it now, this will be the final episode of Jerry. Jerry is trying to save Elijah from the walker horde and will sacrifice himself for Elijah and have emotional impact on Aaron, Lydia, and Ezekiel. May he “rest in peace” and have all the cobbler in the world
Yumiko
She has one of the biggest target on her back by Pamela and the Commonwealth soldiers that are still loyal to her because of her defending Eugene in court. She might be the most logical answer of one of Magna’s group to die in the finale
Magna
One of her group is going to die in the finale but I don’t think it will be her. When they were introduced, it was Magna’s group, but now it is leaning to Connie’s group. She is just lost in the mix of the large cast of The Walking Dead, but will survive all the way through
Judith Grimes
AMC wants us to believe that Judith is the shocking death that we will get in the finale, but this is not the case. As I said before, she is the future of The Walking Dead universe and has a lot of roads to keep her story going. She can join Daryl’s spinoff show, join her parent’s spinoff show, or even have her own spinoff show. She is going to survive the finale and she might take Carl’s comic book storyline of ending the show by telling the group at the end, “We are not The Walking Dead”. She will see her parents again in one way or another
Hershel Jr.
He already got captured once but might get severely injured or be captured again to be the main plot points of Dead City. I don’t see Maggie going to New York and Hershel Jr, so he will be the reason why Maggie leaves, but he won’t die in the finale
Annie
She won’t die in the finale but will be the reason why Negan leaves for Dead City. She is either going to have complications with the baby, needs some medications for the pregnancy, or be captured and be sent to New York
Lydia
Episode 23 was a doozy for my favorite character from getting bit by a walker, her love interest getting lost in the horde, and having her arm chopped off to stop the zombie spread. She might die only by the fact that Aaron might be too late to bring her to the Commonwealth doctor about her arm
Elijah
If Jerry doesn’t die, Elijah certainly will. I predicted that Jerry will die to save Elijah from the horde, but if this doesn’t happen, Elijah will do the same thing for Jerry. Elijah might also already be dead from the horde. With Luke and Jules already joining the group for the final battle from the same horde, Elijah’s character might already be in jeopardy before Jerry even has the opportunity to save him
Connie
One of Magna’s group is certainly dying but Connie won’t be the one to die. It is hard to pinpoint who will be the one, but Connie is not the one. She has the possibility of joining Daryl’s spinoff show or joining Rick’s and Michonne’s spinoff for a scene with Virgil
Kelly
Daryl called back on something she said when Connie was trapped in the cave in season 9 with “We can’t save them if we are dead”. This often doesn’t bode well for character’s chances in The Walking Dead universe. She could survive in the finale but could die for the impact on Magna’s group, most notably, Connie
Luke
If Magna, Yumiko, or Kelly doesn’t die, he will be the one in their group to die. It is nice to see him since he has been MIA on the show for years
Jules
If Luke doesn’t die, Jules will, just for the fact that the whole Oceanside community seems to be wiped out, taken over by the Commonwealth, and she has no where to go after the final fight is over
Princess
Half of me wants to kill off Princess and half of me doesn’t. It would make sense because she is talking to Mercer again and it would motivate him even more to take a final stance against the Commonwealth if she dies. Other than that, it makes no sense to kill off Princess and honestly, if she does die, I feel like viewers, including me, will just shrug it off, and AMC will just kill another “new” character that was just introduced a season ago
Mercer
He is currently in jail for treason against Pamela and the Commonwealth but he gets let out from someone. We do not know who, but they blow the doors off. Mercer could die because he served his purpose of turning on Pamela and helping our group out, but if he does make it out alive, he could be the perfect fit to be the next leader of the Commonwealth
Max
If Eugene, Mercer, and Yumiko all make it out alive, Max is sure to be on the chopping block. Pamela might even tell the Commonwealth soldiers to aim strictly for her because she is the one that stabbed the Milton family in the back and directly correlated with the death of Sebastian.
Pamela Milton
I was banking on her dying in the final part of the series. With the other two villains of the Commonwealth already dead, she has a big possibility of dying in the final battle from the means of Daryl, Carol, Negan, or Maggie. However, she might take the comic book storyline of Sebastian and be thrown into jail forever and survive the final battle, with some call backs of Negan being thrown in jail after season 8
RJ
I really want to kill RJ off but, like Judith, he can also be the future of The Walking Dead and join any spinoff show that he wants. Fans aren’t going to be satisfied without him reuniting with his parents and AMC will make no sense if they kill him off now
Gracie
Gracie seems like the forgotten kid in the show and might be the kid that doesn’t make it through the finale. She already had a goodbye with her Dad, Aaron, and might be on the chopping block
Dianne
The biggest background character that we have left. She will die in the final battle just for the fact that the viewer will recognize her when she dies
Shira
Her right hand man Roman died from Pamela Milton and her boss Lance also died. We don’t know if Pamela also killed her or she went into hiding after Sebastian’s death. If she is alive, she might just be a throw death in the finale from the battle inside the walls of the Commonwealth
Tomi
If Yumiko doesn’t die, her brother will. Simple as that, since it will crush Yumiko
Virgil
I am going to call him the new Luke, since we haven’t heard a peep of where he is or what he is up to. He holds all the cards on telling the group where Michonne went and one of the few characters actually knowing that Rick is alive. It also is weird that Connie still never even mentioned him from her time together in episode 6. He is safe and has the possibility of joining the cast for the final scene in the show to tell them about Michonne and Rick or joining Rick’s & Michonne’s spinoff show.
Rick Grimes
He is safe since he is captured by the CRM somewhere. The only reason why I put him on this list because we will see him in the series finale in an end credit scene at the end of the show and be a big plot point with his spinoff show with Michonne and a possible storyline with Daryl’s spinoff show
Michonne
She is safe since she is looking for Rick, hence why she left the show in season 9. The only reason why I put her on this list because there is a small chance we might get a small scene at the end of the series finale where she went to look for Rick. Her whereabouts will be a big plot point with her spinoff show with Rick and a possible storyline with Daryl’s spinoff show
You made it to the end of my death predictions… I have three confirmed deaths with Rosita, Jerry, and Dianne. I also have twelve possible deaths with Pamela Milton, Eugene, Gabriel, Max, Mercer, Yumiko, Luke, Jules, Kelly, Princess, Gracie, Dog, or Shira. Finally, I have a dark horse death that I don’t believe will happen, but will shock every fan of The Walking Dead with Carol. Lets enjoy the series finale of The Walking Dead, see how many predications I get right or wrong, and whoever does die, “Rest in Peace”!
